Somethings missing I'm sure??? 1st gen truck dash

I'm sure there's supposed to be something here under the driver side to cover the wiring but I can't find any pics of the original dash... Is it a voltage and oil pressure gauge housing or air con ducts? Does anyone have an interior pic of an 82-83 pickup/Hilux

I don't think that wire is supposed to be there...looks like something added after the fact.... but there is also usually a plastic cover that goes in front of all that so even if the wire was there you would not normally see all that. Im looking for a pic from my rebuild for you

This thing is usually in front and it clips to the plastic surround that goes around your shifters.... er I mean the console

Oh wow! That looks really nice. I was hoping to restore mine to stock but the two tone seventies style trim is proving impossible to find. Did you you do that interior work yourself? If so, could I ask where you got the parts from. It all looks so new.
Thanks
Mark

They really screwed up building your truck; they mounted the pedals and steering wheel on the wrong side! LOL

You're missing the vent (your CB Radio is sitting where the vent should be) and the Oil/Volt gauge pod. I plan on making a custom center console with guage pods so I may have a stock gauge pod to spare if you're interested. I know you live in Oz, but my father-in-law lives near Mermaid Beach, QLD so we ship stuff to him all the time.

Yes I did the work myself I had help here and there but the interior was me. Let's see dynamat everywhere, new carpet, black leather headliner, new dash pad, I panted the dash same color as the truck and redid the bezel to hold a normal CD player. Oh new seats, grant steering wheel and custom console. Pics of my entire build can be found here:

Hi Thanks, but I am thinking about going the same way and building a custom centre console for extra accessories now. Something with cup holders!! I'm sick of spilling my beer...haha
