97 toyota lift decisions..

Ive done quite a bit of searching on this topic and i haven't really found a good write up on how hard the 3 inch 4 crawler body lift will be to install. apparently some need to lengthen the fuel fill, and some don't, things like that. But basically. I'm going to be running the 3 inch rough country lift,(spacers and coils) and either the 2 inch or 3 inch bl. Im also gonna run 2 inch wheel spacers, so im trying to decide what bl i need to run these 35's with minimal body cutting. Anyone have any good experience with the wheel spacers and the body lift?

Is there a reason your going low-budget?

My suggestion is to save what you need to do it properly. I'm not a fan of body lifts, but I wouldn't care about a 1" BL. But the 2" spacers is gonna put a lot of stress on bearing, ball joints, steering components, etc. And properly sized wheels for the tires should be on the list too. Most Toy OE wheels are 6-7" wide, with the few 7.5" wide 17s. And I don't know a 35" tire that approves that size wheel, excluding maybe Swampers and such.

It's your ride, of course, but you run the risk of doing further damage later on, in my opinion...

I'm kinda leaning back towards 33s now. I still want the 3 inch and at least 2 of body for the extra flex and clearance. And 33s will fit on the stock wheels a lot better. I just don't know if I should stay with the 2 body or go to the 3. It will be wheeled. Not as often as on road daily driving but I will take it off road. So I'm trying to decide on whether I should go 2 or 3 and as far as the spacers. I just like how much more stances out it looks. What would you think about a 1.5 spacer? Or maybe even a 1?
