Exclamation 1986 Turbo issue

I recently purchased a 1986 Toyota SR5 with the 22RET. The entire engine was in pieces when I received it. I have work on 22RE in the past and I feel comfortable working with them. So the issue I have.....

There is a water line coming off the back off the Timing chain cover, that goes to the turbo. The outlet side comes across the pip in the top of the motor and into the Top of the radiator. Now....I did not have the a radiator with the truck. So I bought one and when it came time to hook that line up I noticed that there is not a inlet for it on the new radiator. I checked and all the local parts stores do not offer suck a radiator. I check with a Toyota dealership and the radiator is now unavailable. So.... I have to make something work.
My question is, I can fabricate a pipe to go into one of the hoses, however does it matter if it goes into the lower radiator hose or the upper? The original dumped into the top, however I was not sure if putting it into the upper hose would be ok as it would primary be bypassing the radiator in theory.....What do I do?

very simple if you have a radiator with a metal tank to drill a hole and solder a nipple on.

That is what i did. on mine.

If you can`t do that it needs to go in the top hose as that is the return.
