Hi all- first post here, probably first of many if I take on this project.

I have a friend who has a 95.5 with the 2.7 that I can get for cheap to restore. I had a 2002 with a 2.7 that I drove for 252,000 happy miles. It was still running like a champ when somebody totaled it a couple years ago, so I'm eager to get another one.

This truck I'm looking at will probably need a motor. Other than figuring out if it's a 4 port or 8 port (although it seems like they might all have been 8 port that early?), is there anything else to consider when looking for a motor? Will any 3RZ Taco longblock with the correct number of ports just mate right up?

Also, are there any other issues with the 1995.5 trucks that I should know about?
