I put 3rd gen visors in my 2nd gen (with lighted mirror).

I didn't like the cheap vinyl visors in my 94 so I got some 3rd gen visors from a wrecked 98. The 3rd gen visors are twice as thick, are material, and have a lighted vanity mirror. If anyone else wants to do this mode here is how I did it.
Remove the visors from a 3rd gen. All you need is the visor. The little clip that holds the visor by the mirror is not needed. The clip from the 3rd gen will not fit in the 2nd gen. The one that is in the 2nd gen works perfectly anyway.
The first thing you need to do is trim the plastic mounting bracket with a razor knife as shown in the circled area. The new one is too big around to fit in the hole in the head liner/frame. It is obvious as soon as you try to push it in the hole. I trimmed only the front half of the shaft as shown in the first picture. The blue plug was also cut off so I could add longer wires. They were soldered together and covered with heat shrink tubing. The wires were then fished to the map/dome light and soldered in. I couldn't get the wires to go straight over as a big piece of foam or something is in the way. I brought the wires down a hole then over by the mirror and up another hole. You can see them when you pull the corner of the headliner down.
Thats it. They fit perfectly and snap up better than the old ones. Color also matches well. I haven't pulled the stickers off as it is very tacky behind, but have heard that Goo Gone will remove the glue.

damn, those are nicer than the visors in my 3rd gen. Were they from a Limited? Mine only has a mirror on the passenger side, and its not lighted.
