vents at top of hood

Yes I have a question I have some rust inside the vents at the top of the hood where the wiper transmission is at well how in the world do u get to all that so I can get this rust stopped please give some info cause it looks like all o can do is cut metal lol thanks

yep thats it ...
the "cowl " area is a non servacable area .
you could remove your dash , and go at it from undernieth , this is where you'll get less distruction to the outer skins .. but it's a LOT of work

or i guess you could cut out the top of the cowl to repair .

Man are you serious that is ridiculous how much time are we talking to get all the dash and whatever else out to por15 is this a two day job or what man I really can't believe this. It isn't bad rust it is just alil surface but I want it gone

Taking out the dash is not a big deal.

But yeah, I've got rust there too on my 78, and it's basically an "oh well" thing for me. I'm not up for that kind of work.

If you want more info on this area of the vehicle, dig though the forums and look for folks that have done snorkel mods. Several have cut through into this area for these mods. For spraying por-15 into tight areas, look into slacker's or kawazx636's resto threads, they have prepped and shot por into the inside of their frame rails. The techniques may have relevance.

Well just to put this out there I can do mechanic work but not foot ay body work and welding so I guess I'm screwed or try the dash removal
