Hello. I spent a whole day replacing my heads on my 95 4Runner 3VZE. I got new gaskets from Felpro, I got the heads machined, I got new head bolts, torqued to specifications. and new gaskets all around. I cleaned my intake and plenums of all carbon. I flushed all old coolant, and replaced with new clean stuff. After that is all said and done. I turn on my car runs amazing, except it starts running hot (I make sure it does not go into the red). I made sure there is no air bubbles in the system, I parked it on a hill and made sure it would bleed out all the air bubbles. I even replaced the thermostat again and it still is running hot. What did I miss? Are the Felpro head gaskets bad? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Update. A little added information, I found that the lower radiator hose is cold, not even luke warm. I just bought a new thermostat, but I drilled a small hole in the top at 12oclock to let air bubbles cycle through. I also tested the thermostat in boiling water and it opens up. But the hose is still not getting warm. The radiator is new, I flushed the system and its not clogged. Another bit of information is that only heats up close to red when the radiator cap is on. But that the cap is new as well. What am I missing?
