Seattle/Eastside area Wheelers

Howdy, new to the board, I'm in Kenmore Wa. I'm running a lifted 2001 Sequoia with 33's, skid plates, and winch. No lockers. And yes, I'm good at 10 point turns squeezing THE PIG through trees

I like Fortune Creek, and the easier trails at Naches/Manastash. My 10 yr old son is usually with me, if not the entire family. We like to explore mines, pan for gold, and fish. Looking forward to getting out with some others on the board this summer.

Howdy neighbor, I'm in LFP. We'll have to go get that rig dirty, I'm kinda curious to see what a Sequoia can do. I usually go exploring the FS roads off Hwy 2 looking for new campin' spots or hit up this sweet spot between Monroe and Duvall for wheeling. Welcome to YT!

Thanks B-Fake. The Sequoia does ok. Having owned a 1980 Toy 4x4 short box, and a 1979 CJ7, an open diff 4x4 is an open diff 4x4. The Sequoia will hold it's own, as long as the trees aren't too tight. It's other shortcoming is weight - on an off camber side hill, the 5000 pounds tends to want to walk sideways down hill. Just have to be aware of what you're doing, and use all of your skills. The biggest one of those skills is knowing my rig, and my own limits

I'd like know about another trip too guys. I got my lifted springs installed and am anxious to see what it can do now. I'm taking it to the marlin crawler roundup. We'll see how it goes.

I have heard that Elbe is really really nasty. I was told that if you like severe ruts and getting body damage then go ahead... I am not one for body damage as my rig is my daily driver... Still going on the first of Feb. just need some suggestions... Any one have any ideas???

Tahuay or possibly the fortune creek trail in Cle Ellum... I am heading over the pass tomorrow and I will try and see how bad the snow is up there... If it sucks then west bound sounds good.

I'm down for Cle Elum. I heard the winter out there was pretty mild this season. Not even enough for the snow machines.

I think I have that weekend free (except for sunday GO HAWKS!) so I'm in if I do. I haven't been to either Fortune Creek or Tahuya so I'd be up for either. I checked out some vids on you tube from Elbe and it looks freakin' GNARLY. I don't know if I'd even be comfortable SAS'd and locked in that muck, lol. I'm not real big on body damage either.

@Huntingchris - How's Reiter now that the trail is done? (I think I heard it was done anyways.)
