Gold Lake Run pt.2 June 7-9th

Knowing the the fire restrictions tend to start early around this area. And since we all wanted to go into farther and get away from the regular camping enthusiast . We will be crossing into Tahoe National Forrest area for camping.

I figured since I GOT SCARED and didn't go in with the BIG BOYS and ran to somewhere easier. And more than likely everyone (Steve) was talking ˟˟˟˟˟ about me being SCARED, , and yes, I'm laughing with you all while writing this.

Dates are JUNE 7,8,9Th. If this works for any/everyone, just add in a posting of a coming. All are welcome to join. Feel free to post/IB me and we can see this through.

I'll be posting up locations for a meet up and time in the future.

I might be interested in going, what's the terrain like?

 

This is the area mapping. Will be on the Snake trail to hopefully get to where we want to camp at. The last trip had patches of heavy snow and didn't make it in all the way.

Awe man, both trips are on the weekends that i'm unable to go

 

Where still in the posting plans for this, date is tentative so far and not enough replies yet. Getting the feel for this date still as it has just been posted. The group that attended the last run didn't get to fulfill are dissires, so, part 2.

 

So were a few rigs not capable for the trail, due to the deep snow?

 

Well, you read the op I have, I had a few buddies that couldn't get in, and another truck was to new and payments. Tried another route to get in, no go. I went to Downieville.

On the Bawlsdeep video, they turn back around towards Gold Lake to camp.

 

We will have a meet up at Grass Valley Raley's @ 692 Freeman ln. 95949.

I'm in for a early start on this run, so the earlier the meet in Grass Valley the better. It is another 1.5 hrs to Gold Lake.

I'm thinking 8:30 am in GV. Need some input.

Would like to be camping at SNAKE LAKE per consensus of my guide.
