Will a custom bumper made for a '85 pickup bolt up to a '95 pickup? If not could I weld another bracket on it to make it match the '95 bolt pattern?

 

Stock 84/85 bumper brackets are different then 86- 88/89 trucks and 4Runners in stock form, so you are going to a different generation of trucks with the 95. You are going to have to fab up a bracket for this to work. Even being a custom made bumper, it was made to fit 85 it will not the 95 unless you have some special made bumper that was made adaptable which I am unaware of.

Solid axles and IFS have different length brackets. I think it is the IFS which actually has the longer brackets. One is definetly longer, just not dont remember which one it is.

 

So the bolt holes will not match up at all on the '95? The guy said it would bolt on his '92 but only w like 4 bolts. So I would need to put a hole new bracket on the bumper correct?

 

If you can weld you will figure it out.

i put a SFA bumper on a 2000 Tacoma.

Just make all new brackets for the bumper.

Being careful to get the distance correct for a good fit.
