hzj 75 landcruiser 2 inch body lift problems

Hey guys, i have got a 94 hzj75 landcruiser ute that i put a 2 inch body lift in. Now i have to hold gear stick to keep it in 2nd, 4th, and reverse. Also it pops out of 4H as soon as you let clutch out and pops out of 4L when you hit a bump. Does anyone no what the quickest, cheapest, simpilest fix would be??? I was going to bend gear stick and 4WD stick foward a bit so it clears the body but i dont want it to hit the dash when i go into 1st, 3rd, or 5th.

Cheers

Hey 94 cruiser, I have the same problem with my 97 model, I found that the boot is too stretched when I put it in 2nd, 4th and reverse so the boot pulls the gear stick out when there is no pressure on the clutch. Try pushing your boot as far down as you can other wise buy an aftermarket boot. For my 4wd gear stick, it goes into H4 easily but I find the internal boot hits the body when trying to go into L4 so i am thinking of cutting out
the floor pan to make it free. If you have any other ideas please let me know

Most of the short throw shifter kits people sell, list this as one of the reasons people use them. brings the stick up about an inch and reduces how much it moves. Been looking at getting a short throw myself, but for me its because my shifter is leaking and I am lazy and don't' like to reach so far for 5th.
