Transmission question.

What kind of transmission is this?
I was told it came out of an 87 4Runner. Obviously the guy didn't know much about it because after further inspection I found out it has electronic speedo which I have been told didn't come out until 92? I assumed it was a w56. But now I'm not too sure (new to toyotas.) So what transmission is this and will it bolt up to a 22re?

I'm fairly positive it is not a W trans.
Looks like a G54 or 52, but maybe a R series?
Here is a link too a page with a bunch of rebuilt trans on it. Notice how different the shifter base is on the w trans compared too your pic.
