Grinding noise when turning sharply in 4WD

The noise scares me to death. My truck is stock, for what it's worth. When I make a sharp turn in 4WD I hear a sort of low grinding noise coming from the front of my truck. If I'm just driving and making slight turns it doesn't do it or at least it doesn't do anything noticeable. Any ideas?

CVs, happens to everyone. They're just doing their job.

Could just be a lack of grease where the cv goes through the spindle. There's a brass bushing in there, and sometimes when it got cold and I had my hubs locked in, I'd have a low pitch grinding noise coming from the hub. If the cv's are going bad, it's typically a clicking sound when turning.

Or that. I guess I was relating more towards the binding of the CV while turning.

Grinding noise could be the steering stops(maybe more noticeable when your in 4wd). Also check to see if your tires are rubbing your torsion bar. Is it a vibration or an actual grinding? My truck does both noises in 2wd but i think alittle more noticeable in 4wd

It definitely isn't the steering stops I already fixed those. I think my CVs are bad but I'll look into greasing them.

I made a spindle lubricator a couple years ago, fixed it! Had a terrible grinding noise too.

Okay. I'll try and grease them first and see if that does anything. Thanks for everyone's help.
