rotted fuel tank pickups.

The head gasket job went great, but now I have a fuel shower coming out on top of the fuel tank. The fuel lines are rotted, along with the lines coming out of where the fuel pump goes, and the return line (the two round shaped hatches in the top of the fuel tank). Any options or ideas on how to fix it other than trying to track down the stock parts? Anyone have the same issues? The fuel line itself seems easy enough to come by, but the rubber flex line along with the tank pickup are not. Thanks.

Look really closely at the metal lines going into the tank. Mine rusted out and it appeared it was the rubber lines. I replaced both and both were dealer parts.

I replaced all of my fuel lines just a few years ago. Got everything from the dealer, and got decent prices on it all. If you decide to replace the full length hard line, jack the front of the truck up as high as you can and push it in through the engine bay.

I was in the same boat, this summer I had to replace everything from tank to injectors. Tank I found of rockauto.com, however the pump/float brackets were dealer only (about $280.00 at my stealership). bent my own lines to save money. no leaks yet, lol

Replaced ALL

After a pot of coffee I found enough “parts” between EBay and amazon to replace ALL fuel components under my 89.
Most parts dropped right in. Tank had to have forward mounting flange rearranged.
All electrical checked before installing.
Also found out that my SR5 has a low fuel light.
Hoses, both fuel return and vent off of charcoal canister to tank replaced.
Also going through injector wiring.

I had same issue and found a OEM fuel sending part from a Toyota dealer on eBay for $80. I saw some as high as $400!! Its not a area I want to revisit.
