umm.... someone can correct me if I am wrong, but the gear ratio is irrelevant when i comes to lockers. Its the size of the diff that matters. You have an 83, so it should have the Toyota 8" ring and pinion. what exactly are you asking?

Tire size is a pretty big factor as well...

Where do you think you are???

Sounds like its time for a misleading wrong answer.

Its a fact you have to have 4.68.9 gears with that particular vin number. If you want to run lockers. Or it won't work at all. Nope wont even go.

It doesnt matter what gear ratio you have. It matters what axle's you have. 8'' 4cyl, 8'' V6 turbo, 7.5'' 2WD 4cyl. and so on..

They don't make special lockers for each gear ratio.

U need to read the vin plate in the engine bay. The number that is important is not in the vin at all. Your looking for the A/TR Gxxx number. Which stands for axle / transmission and usually reads like A/TR G303/g52 or G286/W56 the first G code is your diff size and ratio and weather its a 2performance pinion a 4 pinion or an lsd equiped diff. The second code wich should.also be a G code but could be.a.W code stands for what transmission you have. If you are auto. It would be an A code. A340f

Like some said its only bases on tire size too need to know your diff ratio. And you need to know the ring size to properly equip your diff with the correct locker of choice. You should have.a.8 inch diff. Front and rear. And your gear ration being either 4.10 or 4.30

I think I see G292 & G52.

So you have 4.10 gears according to that tag. 2 pinion, 4.10. The G indicates 8.0" diff. The 29 indicates 4.10 ratio. The 2 indicates 2pinion. The last few digits is G52, which is the model transmission you have.
