New to me. Was running yesterday. Will not start today even with starting fluid. Spark thru all spark plugs when grounded. Where do I start?

Start with the basics:

Fuel?
Air?
Spark? - good as you say.

then

Compression?
Timing?

Better yet, start with the diagnostics in the factory service manual (FSM).

slow-mo is right, all you need to make a engine run is spark, fuel and air, is you have all 3 look for something mechanical.

best of luck

actually timming is also needed to make the engine start. give the engine all the fuel, air and spark you want, but if the timming isnt correct it wont start.

check and make sure coil wire is on correct.

pull valve cover and dist cap, ensure timming chain is intact, and that the timming is still correct.

inspect cap, rotor, plugs etc
