Does anyone know how much the track width increases on the Blazeland kit?
Like for example the Total Chaos kit increases the width by 6.5 inches overall.
I'm looking to see what the best Kit would be to pair up with a Drop Bracket kit with coil overs and 35x12.5's.

 

think they are the same, they both use T100 axles, don't they?

I have checked the website just didn't see anything about the Track width increase. im wanting to do like nate did on his 4 runner with the long travel and drop bracket on 35's.

 

Im interested in this as well. Wanting to do the same thing, not sure how much of a drop bracket to use though... or how long the coilovers should be...

That's the build Ive been focusing a lot of my attention on. This truck will most likely act as my DD as well so i like how Nate found some wheels with the deeper backspace to help manage the width.

 

The width difference between BL and TC is negligible at best. The fact that they use the same axles is a dead giveaway.

 

Just curious. It looked pretty wide from the write up in my 4wd Toyota owner mag when the did the grudge match. They noted the IFS 4runner was 8 inches wider than the solid axle.

 

they make fiberglass fenders/bedsides for the extra width.

Im just not a huge fan of the fiberglass. Kinda bothers me, not sure why.

 

i've ridden in a long travel 2nd gen pu, and believe me you won't worry about the glass.

I think its more the huge flared out look that bothers me. I live in Tennessee so that's not something you see everyday out here.

 

Blazeland is about 3.5" wider per side. Yes the T-100 CV axles are the dead give away. Having a standard part available is necessary as building a custom CV assembly would be expensive. T-100 CVs are easily obtainable and cost can be as low as $65 each.

A live axle from say a 1985 or older truck or 4 Runner is 3" narrower than the 1986-1995 IFS in standard form. If you have a LT kit that is 7" wider than stock IFS.... then yes it will be about 9" wider than an old school live axle.

A live axle rig needs a super shallow backspace rim to run a 33x12.50 or bigger tire. Even with 15x8 with a 3" backspace the tire will rub the frame and front leaf spring. I like adding 1.5" wheel adaptors on my 1985 P/U just so nothing rubs.

On LT IFS if you run a 15x7 or 15x8 rim with a 4" or greater backspace the track width is more acceptable. Mud flaps or fiberglass may be required by law.
