hesetation during acceleration 3.0 v6

hey everyone, ive owned my 1990 toyota for about a year now. after buying this truck i had the engine rebuilt. i have also replace the rear end, clutch, fuel pump, fuel filter, temp sensor, cold start injector, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor, timing belt, radiator, transmission, belts, fan clutch, harmonic balancer, TPS. the tps is set to proper ohms, and the timing is dead on. Im now having two major issues.

when the engine is at operating temp, the acceleration is extremely hesetant almost like im hitting a head wind

The second issue is im having a problem with my turn signal switch, it keeps burning up, so now i have no turn signals.

Ive had one hell of a year with this truck and i know how dependable these things can be. Im hoping someone can help me figure this stuff out so my full faith can be restored as well as confidence lol

Welcome to YT. Have you checked compression at all?

thanks, yeah i checked it after the engine was rebuilt and it had good compression then, i cant exactly remember what the numbers were but i know it was to spec. it was throwing a knock sensor code but i honestly dont know if that would cause the issue. do you think that could possibly be my problem?

The code 52 is most likely your problem, when the cpu doesn't see a knock sensor signal it runs in fail safe mode to prevent pinging, very retarded timing. See https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...thread-216933/ . You need a new knock sensor and wire.

Ok so i did the knock sensor and in putting it all back together, i must have went wrong somewhere because now the coolant system is pressurized so much it blew my water pump seal. I tried to start it with the radiator cap off and it shot coolant out like a volcano oh man where did i mess this up? any ideas?

Air in the system will cause overheating. Search for a thread on burping your cooling system and see if that solves it first, then it's all coming apart to do that seal anyway after, bummer.
