Unhappy 5mge swap 90 4x4 v6

I have read countless swaps with the 22 to 5 engine. But I cant find much of anything on the 3.0 to 5mge swap. What im having problems with is the bellhousing. Which one can I use with my v6 trans to mount it to the 5? I had read somewhere the mention of the 22re turbo bellhousing. Is that the one I need? I have everything to do the swap laying around the house. Im just stuck as to which bellhousing I need and if it will work with the v6 trans and be able to keep the 4 wheel drive in it.

Anyone who can help I would really appreciate it.

the only question i have, is why did you choose the 5mge over the 7mge?

I have 3 of the 5mge's laying around from scrapped cars. I had been thinking about doing 3.4 swap but i would rather do the 5mge because of already having them.

You will be happier with a 3.4 5vze or even a 2.7 2rz/3rz. Both of the 2.7 4cyl motors have a higher torque rating than the 5mge and are much better truck motors.

You need a R154 bellhousing from a 7M-GTE. It will bolt up to your R150F and the 5M-GE block.

Not correct, input shaft lengths are different in the R154 and both the early and late R150f.

i totally agree with this. i love my 7mge but its a car engine. oiling issues in off camber positions, no torque until high rpms and others. i think a 3rz would be pretty cool

I was wanting to do a 7mgte swap for a while now.
Since you put it that way though...
Cheaper isn't always better.
I am now thinking about going 3rz or I would love to do a Diesel but...it's like buying a new car. 3rz maybe some time soon. My 22re needs much work. I would like to start fresh or find another DD so I set this one aside but apart from school and a job...who has time?

I'm only in the market for another engine because I don't want to have to stay in first with my tires running 5psi to get around in some sand. That's bad. 4.56 gears with a limited slip.
