Question Yellow hardened Foam off side of block?

So like the title says there is this weird foam/ hardened lava looking stuff that is yellowish in color coming off the side of the engine on the intake side underneath the intake plenum closer to the front of the motor. Right below/ next to the coolant temp sensor, its dark now cant see well. I was wondering if somebody could tell me what this is? I am by no means a newb, some auto tech school and did some research and didn't come up with anything, other than my instincts telling me headgasket. Picture is below, anybody know??

That's gross. It does appear to be a antifreeze stalactite, but I've never seen that before. Usually just a streak down the block. You could try removing it, and then establish where the leak is...

Before you start peeling off snotty mess, are you prepared to possibly be down for repair?. Looks like its sealed it self. Might as well do a pressure / leak down test.

^^Yea, that's gross.

I would second ksti's comment. Didn't think of that. Should get your truck a flu shot, too.

I had that happen in the same place. It's a coolant leak. Mine was the head gasket.

are you having to add coolant? if not id run it. fix it later for a rebuild or a head gasket job. looks like it sneezed nasty on itself.

That looks like the remnants of Stop Leak or similar product. Check your radiator for clogginess~

If you have any overheating issues, I'd bet the radiator is coated inside with that stuff.
