Question 88 4x4 tranny flush (through the top ? )

about to flush the tranny, haven't done it in years, but i heard (from a local shop) i can simply pull the stick and pour in the new fluid ?


truck is stock, and i did all fluid about 4 years ago.
please advise

Yep. Fill via the shifter hole but leave the fill plug on the side off so when it trickles out there you are full.

You are draining and refilling the tranny. Flushing, no.

doing that now.
does it do the transfer case too if i use the 4x4 lever ? thinking i have to do that manually (like the diff)
