Fair price for gear setup?

I need to re-gear but am not going to spend $350+ on gears and DIY it. I want to make sure that they're setup correctly the first time and that I don't end up grenading a brand new set because of a newbie oversight. What's a fair price for regearing if I'm pulling the 3rds myself and bringing them in along with the new gears? I don't mind paying for quality work but I don't want to get robbed either. There is a 4WD shop close by but I've heard that pretty much anything you get done there is serious $$$. Plus it seems like all they work on are F-350s with stacks jacked up sky high on 38s that never see the dirt anyway I'd send them to ZUK but I'm clear on the other side of the country. The shipping there and back would cost as much as the gears
