IFS pitman arm stop bracket needed for SAS?

Quick question for anyone that can help.

I have seen people remove and also leave their pitman arm stop or stop bracket, not sure what it is called, while doing an SAS.

I removed both my driver and passenger side and looking back at some of the builds on here I have noticed some people leave them.

Is this bracket needed for the SAS? I have boxed in my steering stops, is that enough without straining something else?

here is a pic from DC's sas where he has left the bracket.
post 162, 7th pic down labled driver side.

Thanks for the help!
