No start,no clicks on 86 truck??

No start,no clicks on 86 truck??
Turn the key and no cranking or even a click..started easily this morning.Lights,radio,dome light etc. all come on.Did this the other day and it started when I used the clutch cancel button..then after that started just fine many times until this afternoon.what's the story?

Mine had 2 problems. I had to tap on the starter with a hammer and as the starter was bad. Also wound up changing out the ignition switch. See if the hammer gets it working first.
