bud built crossmenber w/ BL questions

I did search but found no answer. If I do a 2" BL and also want to do the 2" Drivetrain lift, do I have to do any special cutting or welding.

I know I need the BL, Motor mount spacers, and the Bud Built crossmember with lift. I have seen other people say they had to cut the crossmember brackets off and re-weld them but they were not using the bud built crossmember??????

Also how do you go about lifting the gas tank? Is this hard?

If I missed a link with a how to with a BUD BUILT ( I found others but they were with different crossmembers) Im sorry and would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

As always thank you guys

Call BudBuilt and tell them you want one made for a BL. There is no extra cost.

You might have to trim this cross-member, or cut it off and re weld it higher.

^ That should get some bracing though.

Seen this site? They aren't using a Budbuilt, but the concepts the same.

Budbuilt will build a cross member with 2 inch lift for the same price, nothing needs done, it is ready to go.

You will need to modify the horse collar to do the drive train lift and the gas tank is easy if it is a 4runner, you just move it up to the next set of bolt holes.

But in your sig it says you have a pickup which means you will have to come up with something along the lines of some fab work, what you do or how hard you make it is up to you.

Measure and you will know:

Simple answer is if you have less than 2" of clearance above the drive shaft and you raise that drive shaft 2", you'll need to trim the cross member to clear:

Gas tank as noted:
