un-needed vacuum lines

I have a 87 22r motor i just tore completely down to find the reason for a dead cylinder(no luck besides finding torn vacuum line) while putting it back together it came time to put the vacuum lines back on and i was wondering if there are any that you just absolutely just do not need. I don't need to pass smog or anything and its a pain trying to get all of them hooked up so can i just go and cap off all the small lines or is there some that is needed. Thanks

All of them are needed.
None of them are needed.

They're all there for a purpose. But if you're willing to give up some functionality, you could probably get by without them. You could, for instance, disconnect the power-steering idle-up. You'll kill the engine each time you try to parallel-park, but if you avoid turning the steering hard you probably won't notice it.

The point I'm making is that you won't be happy with internet advice until you understand just what each line really does. Then you can make a useful decision.

true but all my trouble is at the carburetor egr valve etc on the intake manifold. And i don't have to worry bout the power-steering idle-up (no power steering)
