I won't be able to help you as I have the Aisan carburetor. But there are many here that are familiar with them. Here's a thread on the Weber carburetor over in forum 115.

Two possibilities. The valve cover gasket itself. Or there are two rubber half-moon shape gaskets that fit under the valve cover. One in the very front and one in the very back. The front one may have lost it's sealing abilities. The valve cover sits on top of them.

Part number 11183 in the parts fiche link below.

nice truck!! and welcome to yotatech. Since the truck has been sitting awhile i would pour a can of seafoam treatment down the tank, another down the oil case after you change it and a 3rd can slowly down the brake booster hose as the truck is idling. this should help clean out the fuel lines, engine gunk and vacuum hoses. I do it to all my trucks and the stuff is amazing. good luck!!

drive it for a week to see how it is. then to a full tune up on it(all filters, plugs, oil, tranny oil, diff oil, grease everything etc.) that way you know when and that its been done. then i would do the seafoam stuff. good luck!

The thread mentioned several problems. What problem are you having? Fouling plugs, vacuum leak, etc?

The 38 is to much for a stock 22r, the 32/36 was a much better choice, not saying it wont work, (38)but definatly cause crappy gas mileage. If ur gonna keep the 38, prob have to jet it down and then settle for worse gas mileage, or you could throw cam, header and decent exhaust on so your not down shifting at every hill you come too
