Can I put an old style 22r carb manifold on a 86re?

 

You can, in 85' Toyota changed the engine blocks and heads, so I know for sure that the intake from an 85' or later 22R will work, not sure about an earlier pre-85' manifold though, I'm sure someone that knows will chime in. Do you know what year your carbed intake manifold is off of?

 

You'll also need the mechanical fuel pump and the vacuum advanced type distributor. As well as all the associated vacuum metal hard lines and rubber hoses. Some vacuum lines you might be able to cap off depending on your State's emissions requirements.
