I've been doing research about this on this site for a few weeks and decided to order 13" x 5" 125 lb coil springs and 1.5" BJ spacers to lift my truck. I also ordered Skyjacker Hydro 7000 shocks for 0-2" lift and a MOOG steering damper. I don't plan on lifting it too much, just enough to clear 33" tires. This is my DD and the only off-roading i do is occasional mud and going up and down the levee as i live in South Louisiana.
I'll be installing everything next weekend and will post pics then.

Correct, no cutting or welding.
I'll have to re-gear it another weekend. Where is the best place to find gears? and will any gear out of an 8" differential work? I'm new to this.

drive it for awhile before you re-gear...you might not need it for a DD.

 

I'll drive it stock, but i haul ATVs on a regular basis and an 18 ft bayliner on occasion. If i can get away with the ATVs i may leave it stock.

UPDATES:
Just picked up 4 33x13.50r16 Super Swamper LTBs at Interco. They are "Blemished" so they were $190 a piece, but i couldn't find any defects. I have an old 33x11.50r16 Thornbird for a spare.
My ball joint spacers, coil springs, and steering stabilizer are in. I'm still waiting on my shocks.

I decided to tackle the ZUK first. It was easy, I jacked it up in the rear and used a spring compressor to squeeze the spring.

 

The ball joint spacers weren't hard either, I put a piece of metal between the pump stop and the upper arm as shown in the picture.

Then I took the wheel off and jacked up thr front end. I replaced my ball joints and most of my steering components last year so it was easy to remove the ball joints. After removing the ball joints the lower arm droops down, but not quite enough, so I loosened my upper shock bolt to get enough clearence to install the spacer. Then I grinded down the inner part of the arm to get clearence for the spacer.

After grinding it down I moved the ball joint towards the motor and put the spacer in place, then I brought the ball joint back towards me and put the bolts in place. I found this method easy.
this is how it looks now, I havent adjusted the torsion bars or installed the steering damper yet. I might leave the torsion bars like they are.

it took me around 5 hours to install it with no power tools.

I've realized that I ordered the wrong stabilizer and no local stores have a Moog stabilizer in stock, so I'll be keeping the bicycle pump for now since I already have an alignment/tire mount scheduled for Monday morning.

HOLY GODZILLA SKIN TIRES, Man! hahaha. Well, I guess you're planning on getting stuck on occasions? 180$ each for those? That has to be what, 75$ off each tire?(Not too familiar with the prices on those)... ???

 

They're normally around $250 a tire online so im guessing a local shop would charge closer to $300. Interco says they only run 32.8x12.60 so I should fit them. And I've stuck it too many times with my old 31x10.50 mudstars(knockoff buckshots). These should get me where I want to go.

 

Also installed a wireless switch on my air horn

Looks SWEET!! I've been looking at a BJ lift and Zuk mod for my 86 pickup(same body style as yours). And seeing it on yours has dang near sealed it 100% on doing it, Great looking rig. I'm wanting to go back to a 33, and that looks to be the best way, till SAS!
