22r putting in manual temp gauge

K im feeling like a idiot asking a question on every hurdle I come too, sorry use to jeeps. Ive got a 22r with weber/offenhauser intake, everything just rebuilt, I bought a set of Equus manual gauges, well after searing around my intake and motor, I have yet to find a port large enough to fit my sensor, the sensor is about 2 1/2 inches long, the fitting size will fit into many of the ports but the probe is too long, or there is no seal for the sensor it just pushes all the way in? is there a spot anyone else has used to mount there sensor? or is there a adapters that I could get to move the sensor out some? any help as always is greatly appreciated, Id like to use these gauges as I already made up a nice gauge cluster for the ol 86, thanks in advance

Go to the junk yard and get a water outlet off of a 22re. the one on your truck is Toyota part # 16331-35050 which has been superceeded by 16331-35051 $39.83 at Champion Toyota world. The one on the 22re is Toyota Part # 16331-35070 $ 41.20 at Champion. They both take the same gasket 16341-35010, so the 22re one will fit on your engine, it has at least two ports on it, one of which is for the water temperature Sensor for the ECU, it is pretty long and your temp gauge probe should fit, but you may need an adapter.
