Question about tranny upgrade?
#1
Does anyone have any experience with the valve body upgrade that Gadget speaks of? I wonder if a local transmission shop could handle such and upgrade. We have a very reputable shop that has been here for years.
I hate the "soft shift" that the factory tranny is set up for. I want it to grab the next gear, not slowly slide into it. I think the truck (with supercharger) would perform soooo much better with some transmission work.
I would greatly appreciate anyone's opinion on this matter. Transmissions are pretty important (and expensive), I don't want to risk any damage to mine.
Thanks,
Noel

I really think Level 10 wrote the book on Hydrosystem Valve Body Recalibration. I don't know if I would trust anybody else to do it unless you feel really confident in their abilities.
If you don't think you can install it yourself call around to some different shops and have them do it. The directions are pretty straight forward from what I hear and you do not have to drop the tranny to do the upgrade.
