So I recently found a 3.0 v6 toyota but when its idleing, its seems to make this sputtering noise like its going to stall out the guy says its been doing that, Any ideas what this is? ill be taking it to a mechanic before i buy ofc.

 

The 3.0 motors are notorious for blown head gaskets and burnt valves at the 4th and 6th cylinder.

 

Walk away, my friend. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Unless the price is soooo good that doing the work is worth it. Probably not, though.

ok maybe its not a sputtering but the idle is at 500 rpm.
