Hi! I am a new member here, but I am a regular on the mr2 forums. I work for a towing company and every once in a while a deal comes along that is too good to pass up. I have been looking for a small pickup forever, and this 83 sr5, was recovered stolen by the baltimore county police department a little over a week ago. The rightful owner was contacted but said the truck wasnt worth it for him to pick up based on the charges that were owed (~$300). Usually we will dispose of the vehicle for the owner in exchange for the bill (it would pull 300-350 for scrap), however, my boss said that he would sell it to me for $350 if I wanted it. What do you guys think? Its a 22r, RWD, manual trans. It runs and drives but the engine stumbles a little at low RPM. Is it worth it??

No Toyota belongs in the yard. 350 bucks? you'd be a fool not to buy it.

 

If I had a garage I would offer to buy it myself. That is a killer deal for a running Toyota, it just needs some TLC
