'94 4Runner tailgate window regulator broken.

Hey guys,

I've tried looking all over the forums, and I can't seem to find this particular issue with the tailgate window.

I just bought my 4Runner about a month ago, and the window was working when I got it. Then I put my dogs in the back, and while I was lowering the window to give them some fresh air, one of them decided to jump on it.

I could tell that the motor was still working, but the window would not go up or down. I took the cover off, and found out that the channel was completely rusted and apparently the weight of the dog gave it the kiss of death. Also, the nylon roller on the end of the regulator arm broke.

Now I found quite a bit of info on how to replace the channel, but I'm wondering if there is any way to repair the broken roller without having to buy an entirely new regulator assembly. The thought of blowing $160 on a $.20 part is killing me!

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Kosta
