Where to get new exhaust?

Does anyone know where could find a new exhaust system for my 95 ext. cab pickup and not have to take out a 2nd mortgage buy it? I would prefer to get the whole system from Cat back, but really just need the muffler and pre-shaped and direct fit pipe. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Get a quote from a local exhaust shop...that's usually the best way to do it.

You can get a good muffler from any auto parts store. I run a Thrush Welded similar to a flowmast just wayyyy cheaper. I had all new piping installed due to NC's stupid inspection laws. cost me around 350$ for muffler and labor.

Oh yeah, AND a new cat (100$) so really like 250$ is what you should get quoted at

I found this at AutoZone that I could install myself, but just not sure if it is the right fit and wouldn't need altering.

I don't care about the change in noise, I just need something that doesn't have holes in the muffler so I can pass inspection. HAHA!

Inspections are not cool. I miss South Carolina. drive whatever the hell you want to on the roads.
And yes you could put that on yourself just be sure not to snap any old exhaust hangers! I believe you can rent a tool to pull the bushings off the hangers

it would probably be the same price to buy some cheap muffler, and have some shop redo the piping in the back. lol

Yep. What I would do is get a quote from the cheapest exaust shop nearby and see if one of the more reputable shops will match it. That way you get the (hopefully) better craftsmanship at a lower price.

Well I just got back from AutoZone and purchased a pipe/muffler combo made by Walker. We'll see how that goes when it comes in hopefully 3-5 business days. Thanks for the input everyone, love this site!
