I am getting 4x4 fenders for my 2WD and want to know if I can use a 2WD valance and bumper or if I need to buy 4x4 versions.

And yes, I did try searching.

Speaking from experience, there were several variations of bumpers, bumper brackets and bumper ends for the first get Toyota pickups. When I was getting a bumper for my 83 4x4 (to replace the god aweful monstrosity of a bumper that the previous owner put on the truck) I ordered the wrong brackets and the wrong bumper and the wrong bumper ends. The brackets didn't fit the bumper or the truck frame and the bumper ends didn't fit the bumper at all.

If you have an existing bumper and brackets, I would just try to match that. Good luck, I know I needed it!

 

yeah, just use what you have or modify what you have, even if you can't do it yourself it won't cost much to get it changed to fit, post pics, I think it's a cool look for the 2wds with the 4by fenders
