1983 Restore HILUX Photos

This truck had next to ZERO rust!

The spare was factory! Still had air in it!
I am going to place a full size spare using one of my wheels and tires that is on the truck now! I will have to re-route the exhaust pipe just a little in order to utilize the factory spare hoist!

In saying that... what exhaust do you guys recommend? I dont want it too loud! But just a little more throaty than stock would be okay!

Thanks!

One More of the bed!

Pure luck that the bed wasnt absolutely riddled with rust...
Only had to cut out some little areas... tailgate photo coming soon! Thanks to toyotafiberglass.com!

I like the color also, as white is rare around here, or for that matter, so are pre 84's Yotas

83 Hilux Restore

I was going to go with orange... But the wife said "white would be sweeeet"! So... After some deliberation....I agreed! I figured that with original color being black.... It would be be a better choice as the engine compartment and other areas remaining black wouldn't look weird! More photos to come!

Exhaust recommendations?

Beautiful truck, and welcome to YotaTech.

Where in Atlanta are you located?

From Atlanta

I live in Acworth in the NW suburbs... My shop is in Forest Park near one of my businesses!

I've been eyeballing a new long block from LG Engineering... This thing with a stroker motor, 4.88 gears (I'm running 33x12.50x15s) Morley header, high volume cold intake, center force clutch....

I'd be in business!

She runs like a sewing machine now (knock on wood)... So at this point I can't really justify the expense!

Maybe later!

Awe.... Maybe not..... Will see!

Nice job with the color. You can't go wrong with white. It's classy and sharp.
