Another 20r with carb Problem

I have a 20r with water choke, I adjusted it and now the engine is staying on... But when at idle it jumps and stutters just a bit like very small amount... I think I set the float too high... Could that be the problem? Or maybe the fuel mix is set wrong? I want to make sure its at it's best running state before I take it to emissions...

Any info would be awesome
If you need video or more info please just ask

Thx for reading

Yea more info needed. Do you mean the engine is 'dieseling' or continuing to run after you shut it down?

Float set too high would cause over-rich mixture which could be a contributing factor. There is also a solenoid that shunts the flow of fuel from the pump without ignition power-if it's not getting voltage that might be your issue. You need a vacuum gauge at the very least and a tach gauge (good to have) to set your mix correctly. You can do a plug chop to see where your mix is-drive under load around 4k rpm's then kill the ignition and stop and look at the inner most part of your plug's insulators-dark and oily looking=too rich. They should be a brownish color and mostly dry.

Why were you adjusting the carb-did you clean it? What have you recently done.
