Question Noise when moving from stand still

I have been suspecting the balljoints as being worn but what do you think. Almost every time I go to drive from a stand still I hear a noise similar to a clunk or thud. I am not getting any tire wear but this noise makes me wonder. Any ideas?

Many possibilities. Look at your motor mounts. They can cause strange noises at take-off if worn, especially if one is worn more than the other. This causes the engine to be slanted a bit, thereby causing something to drag or hit something.
