mushy brake pedal but no air in lines

Alright i have a 85 pickup with a new 22r.the previous owner plugged the rear hole on the mc because there are no rear brakes. I havent had the best of brakes but it was suitable. I had calipers lock up on me and changed my mc and used the same plug the po used to block off the rear brakes. And i never could get the brakes to have good pressure. Now i just rebuilt my front end and installed high steer. I am tryin to do my brakes now. I bled the front brakes starting with the passenger and then the driver. My problem is the pedal goes to the floor. I bench bled the brand new mc and bled the lines correctly but i have no pedal

Did you bench bleed both front AND rear ports on the master? Even if you're not using the rear on the master, the "plunger" inside has to still have fluid to get solid. Air compresses, fluid does not.

Alright time for an update. Ive been wrenchin on this problem for aboyt 4 or 5 days now. The line that comes off the mc for the front brakes was not sealing good so i changed it out. RE bench bled the mc, RE bled the brakes, and still have NO brakes i finally got fed up with it and called a family friend who is also a jam up mechanic and im towin it up there tomorrow! I hope he figures out what it is, keep your fingers crossed. But time for some good news. As i mentioned before. I have nothing inside my rear drums. Well a guy down the road has a rear end with a workinh e brake and working regular brakes AND 4.56 gears. He wanted my stock 85 steering box. So i decided it was better for me to have braks, so i am trading my rear end for his and also giving him the gear box as a thank you gift.

When you bench bled the MC, there was no air coming through the lines? None at all? Thats very odd, unless there is a defect MC, like someone else stated.

Let us know what he finds out at his shop. And let me know where you find these 4.56 equipped rears so easily. I am needing one pretty bad...

Ill keep yall informed on the brake situation. But i have 2 friends that deal in nothing but 84-95 toyota stuff. They buy anything and everything that is from these trucks and turn around and sell for a profit. They literally have enough stuff to build complete trucks just about.

Alright i feel like a noob. I put my drivers caliper on the passenger knuckle and vice versa. The nipples were on the bottom of the caliper causing the air in the top half of the caliper to get trapped.
