LC Enineering 2.7L 3rz header review

OK finally got this installed on my 98 4runner and I gotta say it looks great. Price was a little on the steep side but well worth the cost. Install was flawless, everything matched up better than stock IMO. The egr hole is in the perfect position and the collector was perfectly level upon install. It made things a lot easier to run down below. They come pre painted and while you could wrap them I did not. Even after driving for an hour or more the headers were getting more airflow and were thus cooler.

Now I modified my entire exhaust with magnaflow high flow cat and exhaust. Everything is 2.5 except for after the exhaust. That is 2.25 for running it up over the axle. After I get around to lifting the 4runner I will go with the bigger pipe. If you have any further questions I will be happy to answer them.

Oh and performance gains were not great but you honestly have to do a piggyback system for the air/fuel mix. My system did come out a little ricy but it IS an import 4cyl so what can ya do.

I would have more pics but someone decided to steal my phone I have to re-weld the rear hanger so it'll be up on a lift again here soon.

Did you ever install a piggyback?

I wonder what the gains would be on a n/a 2.7 toyoyta with something like a apexi safc .

Would be cool just to see a before and after dyno.

I'm planning on doing the piggyback when I do the stage 2 cams, balanced injectors,.bored out intake manifold, and valve springs. It's gonna be a while but I think there would be some impressive gains na style.

I am planning on using the special as well. It was recommended to be a supra nut friend of mine. Seems to be a good piece of hardware
