Do you use the elbow through the fender? or do you think it restricts air flow? how about the deck plate mod?

Theres a video on youtube of a guy saying he has better results on the dyno with stock box w/o the elbow (said he had not tried deck plate mod yet)

Just wondering what would work best w/ our 3.4 s/c's..?

either deck plate it or pull the elbow. Doing one or the other helps, but doing both doesn't "double" the results.

If I had the original air box I would have used it....but I really like the sound of an aftermarket filter. It just sounds.....perfect

I used an Injen intake kit for a 96 Tacoma. Uses an Amsoil blue dry filter. Looks nice.

I am running the AFE dry element filter. It flows better than oem and functions nearly as well. Also, AFE makes the airfilters for TRD.
