1998 toyota 4 runner break problems
Ive had my limited edition 4 runner for about 8 years now and it has 117k miles. My problem is that a few months back a break cilinder in the back right side broke. I did not know right away because its the vehicle that my wife drives I found out when i saw a break fluid puddle in the driveway.
I bought and replaced both cylinders and break shoes and machined the rotors since i had them out, also put new fluid and blead the system. A few days latter i used the truck and the pavement was wet and i noticed that when i applied the breaks with some presure the front would lock up. i changed the lines, the pads and the calippers but the problem continues. i removed the ABS fuse and the same thing happens so i put it back.
i dont know what else can it be. This truck rides and looks very nice and never breaks down but this is serious.
Does anybody has had this problem that can help me with this?
Thanks

Ok; do you have drums in back? or disk with a drum inside for the emergency brake?
leaking fluid means your lines are shot, you cross threaded them, or installed it wrong so it popped open.
Are you sure its brake fluid? It might be a shot axle bearing and thats leaking. does it make a funny sound as you roll downhill?
