maitnence questions: ignition and fuilds

I am going to be doing some maitnence soon and I had a few questions.

The first is what kind of oil does my manual transmission and rear differential take? Remember I have a 4cylinder 2.7L. Is there anything special to consider when changing the fluids. As far as I know you just drain it and fill it.

The second is with my ignition system. I am going to change the plugs, wires, cap, & rotor (yes i have a distributor). What kind of plugs and wires should I use? I am considering buying from this site and get the "traditional spark plug" or "v-power" and the "premium wire set." I have heard that Toyota ignition parts are good, should I go for factory parts over these? Will any cap and rotor from Napa or Autozone or should I go with factory for this as well.

And as far as changing the ignition parts, anything special that I should look out for (i.e. things I can mess up on)?

thanks a lot everyone!

I would use OEM parts only for the ignition but others may beg to differ

The OEM parts should work fine unless you plan on adding some type of high voltage coil. As far as plugs only use NGK or Denso each of these makes special plugs such as platinum and they ussually work fine.
