my 94 22re makes a clicking sound in reverse

I have a 94 22re that when I put it in reverse it makes a loud clicking, it only dose it in reverse and only when it is under power, I can't tell where its coming from any ideas?

It only dose it in reverse witch I don't understand

Failing U-joints will often make noise in reverse only. The reason is that the load is being applied in the opposite direction. Have someone listen while you back up.
