87 4Runner engine dying

My 87 automatic 4runner started dieing yesterday. once while I pulled up and parked left it running got out to run in store an flat out died. No stumble miss or anything just like I turned it off. Went to restart it. starts then dies did this about 3 times then I held it to the floor it started an ran out fine rest of the day. This morning on my way to work stop at a red light only difference this morning I was at a rolling coast bam same thing had to floor it while turning it over to get it to start then died a few times then finally started an ran ok the rest of the way to work Any ideas ??? Any at all???

egr stuck open? vacuum leak at intake boot? would be nice to know your fuel pressure when dying.
good luck

Only died twice yea if it keeps it up I'll prolly have to figure a way to run a inline gauge . Vacuum or egr I think it would miss its dieing like turning the key off

So it idles fine except when this happens?

If you're having to floor the throttle to get it to start afterward, it sounds like it's getting too much fuel.....perhaps your Cold Start Injector or one of the primary injectors is sticking open & delivering fuel at improper times...?

Otherwise, I'm stumped.

Ok ive found the problem efi fuse sum one put a 30amp in there an it's so hot it's melting it. So I put 15 amp back in guess what it just blows. An the round relay under it is freaking hot!! So I just check 02 sensor wire no short. Checked engine ground.. Relay? Fuel pump. ? Injector harness an wires been redone so I know that's not it any pointers?
