left front blinker no blink...?

ok, 87 runner... for some odd reason my left front blinker has stopped blinking, but all the others still work just fine. tried the flashers and again that one does not work. replaced the bulb, rewired the ground thinking that was the issue, but wasnt. it worked just fine the other day, and last week it stopped working on one turn, than would work on the next... i also replaced the power wire going to the socket... ideas?

Might check the wiring connections inside the socket. I've had problems with corroded wiring inside the sockets on my VW a few times:

Now that's funny! I've heard of a bucket of steam, 50 feet of hanger line and even a salami sock but, I've never heard of blinker fluid before...that's good.
