Jungle Fenderflares Preview

Just recently purcahsed my fenderflares from Jungle Fenderflares, here's a little preview of my install with my Hilux Surf rear mud flaps. What do you think? Install was pretty straight forward.

Looks good! I've been thinking of buying a pair when funds allow it.

First off nice 4Runner! Second, did the piece on the bumper come with it? Third, the fitment on the bottom under the door does not look correct. Fourth, what about the front, any pictures? Fifth, what kind of quality are these, are they thin like the Bushwackers? Sixth, is your truck a 4runner or a Surf?

Thanks, James

1. Thanks!

2. The piece for the bumper does come with it but unfortunately won't fit on the 90-91 4runner bumper.

3. That was an install error, have to fix it lol!

4. Will be doing the front this week, just waiting for my hilux surf front mudflaps.

5. Don't know what the flares from bushwhacker are like, they seem thick as the flares that come on the 3rd gen 4runner.

6. 1991 Toyota 4Runner

Looks really good. But, you need a black bumper. It would look good.

What is different between the 90-91 4Runners of that of the 92-95 4Runners? I thought they all had the same rear bumper with the only option of them being different if the truck came with the 31" tire package.

Camo - its a hilux surf spoiler. Kinda pricey for just a wing here in the US... I see them on Ebay and on Vancouver craigslist for like 250-400 bucks. ( and they're most likely not paint matched )

The fenderflare pieces for the front bumper doesn't fit the 90-91 4Runner front bumper, need to find the 92-95 front bumper.

Found it locally, off of a Toyota 4Runner Medallist/Sequoia Edition...$150.

Any tips on installing the hilux spoiler? I have one and I'm thinking of spraying it black and throwing it on.

4runner vs Hilux

Sorry if I get you guys off topic. I have a 1989 4runner (1st gen) in need of flares. Researching only leads me to cut out flares available, dont want to cut the flares. More research I found Bushwacker has a non cutout for 4th generation Hilux, which seems to be same as 1st gen 4runner. Clear as mud? Anyone know if 1989 4runner body parts compatible as 4th gen Hilux? Thanks for any input!

I started a thread about 1st gen fender flares and there are more options than just BW's. I ended up going with the BW'S cut outs since I got them for 75$. There really wasn't that much to cut out.
