89 Toyota PU leaf springs

Hi guys long time reader first time poster. I have been searching the forum and haven't found what I'm looking for.

I have an 89 reg cab 4wd with some wore out rear leaf springs. The suspensions is all stock. I am looking for a heavy duty replacement spring, I pull trailers regularly and need some thing with some more capacity.
I havent been able to find anything heavy duty just stock replacement type things, is there any other springs out there I could pick up from a junk yard that would be a direct bolt in? or somewhere that sells a heavy duty stock height spring.

Thanks in Advance

you could probably get some heavy duty springs off a full size truck at a junk yard, but they would probably raise the back of your ride. jus my two cents...

Yoterr- I was wondering about some AAL too. Will they just lift or add capacity too?

costal- Thats what I was thinking and didnt know if someone on here knew what truck they would need to come from to be the right length and width...

you could always check the junk yards, measure your leafs and check some of the dodge, chevy and fords * their abundant in the yards ours are not lol*

That is the part I am not sure about . You would probably need to modify something, like the shackles or U-bolts. The good thing is that you could probably grab those from the truck you get the springs from. The full size truck springs will probably be longer when they are flexing, but you might be able to flex them more to fit. If you wanted to do this swap you could start by measuring your own and some trucks at the junkyards.

add a leafs depending on what size you get will add an inch or two, basically all bolt on but you have to be able to support your frame on jackstands..

i believe the only things close to his are gonna be fords...wich are 56" IIRC stock 88+ toyota rears are 51" (thats full size)..some rangers have the same size but also the same payload so no difference..as well as nissan..have you looked into allpro or TG i dunno if they make non lift HD springs or not...but they make HD lifted ones...

also you can go with the load leveler deals at like at autozone or advance..or hellwing..these increase payload without diminishing ride...dunno why i didint think of that before

Bag over leaf is your best bet. There is also a thread on here regarding stock replacement leaf springs.

I'm trying out these guys, you could add a leaf to these for more capacity.

I wouldn't add an add-a-leaf to a truck that's gonna see regular payload/towing especially a short length one. Reason being even under wheeling, they tend to make the springs "w"

I'm just getting the stock ones for my rig, I'm not doing anything heavy duty. I think that's a good price for brand new springs.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I found Northwest Offroad makes some stock height heavy duty springs, I think I'll check them out first and see " how proud of them they are" lol if you know what I mean

Maybe not the springs but the NWOR customer service.

I heard a few great things about their HD stock springs... They are VERY proud of them though... I just called them last week... I kinda want to say it was $500 for a pair. Correct me if I'm wrong. And the guy sounded surprised at my reaction when he told me $250 a piece....

I've heard good things about JC Whitney leafs. And they're only $144 each.

Here's another thing to think about. Your truck has been on the road for 22 years and you are just now looking at replacing the leafs. Do you really need to spend the money on HD springs or can you get away with cheaper new stockers that may last you another 15-20 years...

Alcan in Grand Junction, CO will make new springs for this truck, to your weight (constant load vs. occasional load) specs; I checked with them once for mine(same truck) and they came in at about $400-$450 for the pair.
