im not an expert in any way. The pattern looks good too me. Y have very good tooth contact. Also from what i understand, it good to be closer to the toe end of the tooth with the ifs diff, which you have. Maybe an expert will chime in.

I am confused. Because this is front, ring gear is reversed? then the patterns are reversed? 1st pic would be coast - is this correct?

Thanks,

-Glen

I think you are correct because it is reversed but i will say that pattern looks pretty dang good to me. I would run that no problem.

The first pic is drive.

I don't see the coast pic showing up....but the coast is the side that you use when going forward in the front application. Drive is for backing up. The drive side is the dominent pattern to use for reading the pinion depth. I like to also reference the coast....and even the pinion drive pattern. Your drive is just fine depth-wise. Seems like the .100" shim that the fronts seem to almost always use are just fine with after-market gears. Wish the rears were the same but they aren't.

edit----coast pic just showed up after a refresh....looks great! A perfect coast pattern by the way. Most don't paint that well. That appears to be a very good quality gear....the factory lapping process was well done.

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks again ZUK.

My pic posting site (photobucket) is having trouble.

So, the drive and coast names do not change even if their role's are reversed, got it.

I will button it up.

This diff was a lot easier. Perhaps because I had the rear under my belt.

Thank You.
